Comscentre Networks (CCNW) provides a large and varied range of value-add services for their end customers, for example 'Cloud Based' applications and services that require a simple yet feature rich way for these services to be provided to end customers. The extra work involved in the delivery of these services is not what most wholesale providers' core service models are about. This however is CCNW’s core business.

For private network applications the vendor L2 links are aggregated at the closest POP location and presented to an MPLS PE device, and at this point becomes part of a unique Layer 3 network (VRF). The VRF can then be distributed across the Comscentre national POPs between other discreet customer sites.

CCNW delivers multi-layered networking to CCNW Wholesale Partners providing connectivity between the Wholesale Partner’s end customer sites, located throughout Australia, and the Wholesale Partner’s own point of interconnect (POI) located virtually anywhere within the country.

Whilst the Wholesale Partner manages their own POI’s and manage, to some degree, the end-customer networks, CCNW manages the VRF platform in between.

CCNW gathers all the technical requirements from information supplied by Wholesale Partners and produces a technical specification which, along with the practical experience of CCNW’s qualified network engineers and technical staff, allows CCNW to deliver a tailored network platform that allows the Wholesale Partner to deliver their own core services reliably.

CCNW will deliver a blended network, utilising the strength of its own national MPLS network to extend the reach of any Wholesale Partners’ network to their customers.

CCNW use dedicated point-to-point Layer 2 links for interconnecting to Partners’ POI locations and various CCNW Layer 2 “Last Mile” tail options to connect to Partners’ end customer sites.

CCNW-managed Cisco switches are deployed at Partners’ POI, to terminate the point to point links from the closest CCNW POP.

As well as providing secure, private connectivity between the Partner and their end customers, CCNW can also deliver dedicated Internet connectivity via BGP to the Partners’ POI or site of choice.
